Less than a year ago, we sold our home in Southern Colorado and ventured halfway across the country to our new home in Southern California. It has been such a big change for us all–but we have never been happier.
I am so glad you are here! My name is Amy (Amy Susanne–hence the AmySue). I am a 40-something mom, wife, teacher and homemaker. I work from home, my husband works from home, and our sons do school from home. And, believe it or not, we are not hermits. We just found a cozy-but-productive lifestyle that really suits us!
My passion is for motherhood, family, sharing our unique life-at-home experience, homemaking, and sharing resources for teaching and learning in the online world. It is a bit of a hodgepodge, but it fully encompasses who I am, and why I am here. Balancing all of the things is never easy, but I am eager to share with you what has worked for our family, and what hasn’t. And I will throw in a little SoCal exploration and adventure along the way.
This blog is a passion project in the truest sense. I thrive in creativity, and I love blogging. When we were preparing to move from Colorado to California, I searched the internet for others who had already move, and who had experiences to share and, honestly, I didn’t find much. I am often looking to connect with other work-from-home moms who also have children in online school and, again, I haven’t found that community. At least not yet.
Each week I plan to share our stories, routines, school experiences, learning resources, teacher tips, homemaking ventures. Hopefully you will find them helpful, or entertaining at the very least.
I’d love to hear about where you’re reading from—and if you’re a fellow work-from-home mama, let’s connect!
