Hello!
Welcome to At Home with AmySue. My name is Amy. I am a work from home mom, a long time educator and a homemaker at heart. I am working to create a life that is calm, creative and connected.
After spending a decade in the traditional classroom setting, I made the leap to teaching in the virtual world, working from home so I could be more present with my two amazing boys, who also do school from home. One year ago, we packed up our life in Colorado and made the big move to Southern California, and I’m flourishing in all the change—one family adventure and beach walk at a time.
At Home with Amysue is my cozy corner of the internet where I hope to share the real, often messy beauty of this chapter of our life:
- Real motherhood. Learning to parent intentionally–gently.
- Tips and tricks to successful online learning as both a mom and teacher.
- Our family’s big move from Colorado to California–and SoCal life!
- And the creative joy I find in designing educational resources and homemaking tools, that I cannot wait to share with you.
This is not an aesthetic mommy blog. It is real, sometimes messy, and always full of love. I am here to share what’s working (and what’s not), what’s beautiful (and what’s frustrating), and how we are doing our best to build a home and a life that we love
